Knight’s Camp

Judy Greer & Sophia Lillis Set For Dark Comedy ‘Knight’s Camp’ From ‘The Apprentice’ Outfit Scythia Films & Good Question Media

Producer Daniel Bekerman, whose Donald Trump movie The Apprentice just premiered in competition at Cannes to strong notices, has set his next feature Knight’s Camp, a dark comedy starring Judy Greer (13 Going on 30, Ant-Man) and Sophia Lillis (It, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves).

Filmmaking duo Kyle Rideout and Josh Epstein (Eadweard, Adventures in Public School and the upcoming Youngblood) co-wrote the screenplay, with Rideout set to helm.

Bekerman (The Witch), Chris Yurkovich (Slash/Back), and Jordan Hart (I, Object) are producing for Good Question Media in association with Scythia Films, along with Epstein. Casting is currently underway.

Knight’s Camp follows four bubble-wrapped teens at a medieval-themed summer camp. On the eve of the camp’s famous Battle of Twin Bridge re-enactment, the teens ignite an old legend and are accidentally transported to the real battle in 1297 A.D., where they are tasked with saving one of their ancestors to preserve the future of their family lineage. Set in Scotland, the pic explores the juxtaposition between the lives of modern-day teenagers and the brutal reality of bygone medieval times.

Knight’s Camp will reteam Greer with Rideout and Epstein, who previously collaborated on Adventures in Public School.

Good Question Media and Scythia Films’s The Apprentice, starring Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump, Jeremy Strong as his mentor Roy Cohn, and Maria Bakalova as Ivana Trump, and directed by Cannes winner Ali Abassi, notched 80% certified fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes with critics. The companies recently announced The Eden Express, from writer-director Daniel Cockburn which is based on the memoir of the same title by Mark Vonnegut and true events that explore life with mental illness. LevelK is representing the global sales and Stephen Fry will serve as an EP.

Greer is represented by CAA, Artists First and Fred Toczek. Lillis is represented by CAA, Untitled Entertainment, and Ryan Levine at Jackoway Austen Tyerman. Rideout and Epstein are represented by Echo Lake Entertainment and The Jennifer Hollyer Agency.
